Consists of rhythms from whole notes down to eighth notes and includes some dotted rhythms. Each section begins with a few exercises that include note names but past that it is up to the player to play by reading in real-time or using the Jumbie Jam Note Reading Chart to help them write in the names. Time Signatures include 4/4 and 3/4.

· Warmups - These warmups start very simply as single-pitched rhythms with lots of rests and quickly move to include multiple notes and increasingly more complex rhythms in full phrases.
· Exercises - These exercises are all scale-based and move from large spaces between notes to rolled exercises and faster rhythms with less rests. These are perfect speed builders and a perfect way to learn the notes across the whole Jumbie Jam.
· Etudes - These short musical ideas and phrases will challenge the players at a variety of levels. Note and Rhythm reading all the way to phrasing and tone production.
There are no tempo markings, so all 100 phrases can be played at whatever tempo is most helpful.

About the Author
Jordan Morrison is an active composer, arranger, educator, and performer. As an educator, he has taught in public schools, private schools, non-profit programs, and private studios. He has taught a wide variety of music courses including Jazz Band, Marching Band, Steelband, Concert Band, Rock Band, Orchestra, Choir, General Music, World Music, Music Theory, Audio Production, Music Composition and much more. Jordan has had the opportunity to serve by training and mentoring hundreds of teachers and thousands of students throughout his career. As a composer and performer, Jordan has enjoyed a wide array of wonderful and strange opportunities. These range from a stadium performance for a bowling conference to composing the music for two seasons of a live soap opera, performing in a giant outdoor tent for a Motorcyclist Revival, and leading a virtual drum circle for people with cochlear implants. He currently lives just outside of Nashville, TN where he works as the Music Education Director at W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School.
